Ice Plots

I finished inking and coloring this after work, beginning at around 2:30 am and going until around 4:30 am! Oh well its worth it. This is a redo of an old character that featured in a different drawing of mine (not up on the internet sadly).

This has to be my favorite coloring job to date, and luckily my scanner didn't mess it up as badly as it did the others. As for the character, her name is Eira, a Welsh word for snow. her story tends to pop into my head as soon as Winter hits again, and at some point I plan on writing it out. The basic gist is that Eira was born with the power to manipulate snow and ice, no matter the temperature. Her mother, seeing how special her child is, spoils and quite nearly deifies her child, twisting the innocent girl's mind into believing that she can do whatever she wants.

When her mother eventually dies (due to the child's powers no less) her last words to her daughter were "If you want something in life you must take it..." It seems Eira took these words too literally.....

I'm not going to say any more, because it would spoil the surprise! :wink: I think I might draw up some more characters, and give their background as well...
