I've always loved Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. It's my favorite story and it's held that place in my heart a long time... I've drawn Alice before, but it seems my brain wanted to do it again.... Oddly, this is very similar to a project I had to do for my High School graduation project... but I lost the file, not that I cared too much... My brain resurrected it and thus this is born! I really like how this one came out, and from what I can recall of the old one, this one is miles above it (or should I say below it due to the subject matter? )
Concerning her outfit, I kept the original blue x white combo, but I wanted a more historically accurate outfit... As nice as puffed sleeves and the peter-pan collar are, I looked at fashion plates of children's fashion from the time for her dress... Also, I didn't want her to be blonde... It's a little too overused I think... I've nothing against the blonde color, as it was used in the original illustrations for the book, but I didn't want it here....
...Wait a minute. Isn't one of your OCs involved in my next art project?
